LuAu Party

For starters...
Check out my new hair!!
My AMAZING sister-in-law Hillary did it! She is fantastic!!!

Now on to the good stuff...
So Thursday was Jhett's birthday party and I decided like 2 months ago to have a LUAU! I had these amazing ideas running through my mind on how it would be and let me tell you this party was going to be FANTASTIC!!!
Thursday morning Jhett woke up happy! Wahoo!! Considering every other day this week he has not been. I was thinking "Yes! we are off to a good start!" So my mom took Jhett to go run some errands so I could start the baking. I was going to be making Flower shaped sugar cookies, cupcakes, and a cake for Jhett. I started the sugar cookies...When I was all done mixing the ingredients accordingly the dough was runny, not a consistancy to roll and cut. I was so angry!! So I put that aside and decided to start the cake. I mixed everything up then stuck it in the oven. The timer goes off and low and behold the cake is completely not cooked in the middle!!! It jiggled! I kept it in for 10 minutes longer and the sides were a little more cooked then I would have liked but the middle was no longer pure liquid. "Oh well, so today is not a good baking day for me, even though it is supposed to be perfect!" I used it anyways, it was Jhetts cake to tear apart, it didn't need to be pretty. The cookie dough my mom was able to save and we still ended up doing that but they were circles rather then flowers.
Then there was the WIND. I normally LOVE the wind, but on that day it was my worst ENEMY!!! I was trying to hang things up outside and it was nearly impossible! I did eventually get everything up and the wind did stop by the middle of the party. I had things decorated so cute! I'm kicking myself for not getting pictures of EVERYTHING but I did get some. On the majority of the back wall I wrote "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JHETT." I had tiki torches around the pool, Luau music playing, kids swimming, and people eating.

In the kitchen earlier that morning I tried to get a picture of Jhett. The stinker would NOT keep is lei on so this was the best I got.

Then I decided to get a picture of me. The only one too by the way. I was the designated photographer.

The dessert table turned out so cute!

And the drinks....So cute too!

My sister Shalae says he looks like an old man in this picture. My grandma was standing where he is looking trying to get him to smile for me.

I had to take of picture of my grandparents trying to get a picture of Jhett.

What did Jhett do with his cake?? Watch and find out...

Pinata Time!

CANDY!

These were Jhett's favorite presents and thought they were so cool!! Drayson thought so as well...

Over all the party was FANTASTIC and turned out so well. Thank you to all who came and made this day special! We love you all!!
