Major Update

I couldn't believe how much time had gone by when I got on to update my blog. Too much time has passed and so much has happened.
For those of you who didn't know. Do you remember the house I was talking about in June? Well we just moved in that house a month ago...more on that story later.

Our Home.
Sunscreens made by Brandon Nelson.
He does an AMAZING job for anybody looking for sunscreens :)

Jhett went to his first Diamondbacks game about a month ago thanks to Grandma & Grandpa Udall.
I look absolutely stunning I might add.

We also went to the lake where Jhett rode the tube with his daddy.
He LOVED that!

And finally Jhett got his FIRST major Haircut!!!
This was kind of hard for me but I was really getting sick of him being called a "cute girl" when we were out and about!

Now on to more recent stuff...
In our new ward the Sunday before General Conference, at the beginning of Relief Society, the Secretary who was conducting said that the Bishop had a challenge for our ward. He wanted all families to hold Family Home Evening every Monday, but especially in the month of October.
I know what your thinking, we should be doing that anyways. Well it hit me pretty strongly that I need to make an effort to make this happen in my family.
Now for the PROBLEM...
My work schedule is such where I work every Monday from 7Am- 7PM and when I get home Austin and Jhett are both ready for bed. All weekend long I kept thinking I should just call one of the other receptionist to see if she could just cover my afternoon shift but as soon as I talked myself out of asking her I instantly got sick to my stomach and had a really strong impression that I needed to figure out a way to make Family Night happen. So I called up Catie and needless to say she was more then happy to take my shift and proceeded to tell me that she felt she needed to ask me to work Mondays. Its amazing how the Spirit works!
SOLUTION...
The last 2 Monday's I have been home in time to make dinner, prepare a lesson and have a Family Night! The first Monday was not very successful. Jhett was throwing a wicked tantrum and did not want to cooperate. Last night was a complete turn around. I came across a really neat blog that has ideas for Family Night geared for kids ages 0-5. I had a lesson on Manners and Jhett did fabulous!!
Some of you might be reading this thinking why am I so excited about Family Night? But to be honest, growing up my family did not do this and I really had no idea what the heck I was doing and felt kind of lame that I had to google FHE. I have been told in my patriarchal blessing that I need to be holding regular family home evenings and this challenge by our Bishop has really pushed me to make it happen.
After the lesson we watched Dancing with the Stars. Jhett was hilarious! He started dancing around the family room and clapping. I got a brief video of him but once again I am Lame and filmed it sideways! I really thought I would be able to turn the video upright but I can not figure it out so if you want to watch it just lean your head to the left and enjoy!
