Lakeside Weekend

This past weekend we decided last minute to drive up to Lakeside to enjoy the pines and cool weather. We drove up Friday afternoon and stayed the night at my grandparents place. Saturday was an absolute perfect day. The trip was short and sweet but we figured it would be our last oppurtunity this year to get away just the 3 of us to spend some quality family time before the holidays approach us.

Park Time!

Jhett loves, Loves, LOVES the outdoors! We spent most of Saturday "Park Hopping" This was the first time Jhett was actually enjoying the swing. Normally it freaks him out.

Mr. Independent!
Jhett is a "Big Boy" now and does not like to be held or put in a stroller. He wants to walk like everybody else. The park we went to has a nice path that surrounds a lake.

Fishing!
Austin's only request this trip was to fish. We managed to sqeeze that in ;) The fish were not biting though so he didn't catch a thing.

Finally Fall!

There were a few trees along the path that definately made it feel like Fall. I wish I could see more of this around the Valley.

We had a great time. I even managed to get Austin to take me to a few Antique shops. (That was my only request) It was a well deserved relaxing weekend!
