My baby is THREE!

My Jhett turned 3 on June 12th! I don't even know where to begin with this one. Jhett is so full of personality & life. He is 100% boy. My life has forever been changed because of him & I couldn't imagine life without him. For his 3rd birthday party I decided to do a Train Theme. I also decided to have it a week before his actual birthday so that the majority of the family could attend. This was also his first year that he got to invite friends. I took pictures of him on the train tracks a couple of weeks prior to his party & printed out a few & had them displayed. This is my favorite. It's just so Jhett!

I had so much fun planning & making party decorations. Here are a few pictures of what I had around. I made this birthday banner & also some tissue pom poms that were hanging all over. I had a bunch of tables set up outside with lanterns & candles on each table. There were even small tables for the kids!

The Dessert Table.

There was a candy bar, Train shaped rice krispies, carmel popcorn, & cake

Drink Station.

Food Table.
We had baked potatoes with all the toppings, Macaroni & Cheese for the kids, along with a green & pasta salad, & jello pretzel salad. I really wish I would have taken a picture of the table with all the food. Thank you to everyone that helped out with the food, it was scrumptious!

Get your Plates, Forks, & Napkins.

"Luggage" Drop Off.

I had made train tracks out of electric tape & had them from my front door to my kitchen & around the 2 food tables. There was also a Souvenir Station to the right.

In the front room Austin & I made a large cardboard box train. It's not as fancy as they can get but Jhett loved it!

I made this awesome Chocolate Cinnamon Fudge Cake for Jhett. It was actually Austin's request. Jhett loved having everyone singing to him & blowing out the candles. I actually would catch him singing to himself earlier in the week & pretending to blow out candles. It was really cute.

The party turned out successful! I feel like my hard work really paid off. It was so casual & fun having all of Jhett's friends, our friends, & family there to celebrate with him. A BIG THANK YOU to all who came!!!! We are truly blessed.

** What really went down on Jhett's birthday**

Jhett's actual birthday was on a Sunday this year. I had planned on making him his favorite food "chich chit & rice!" Chicken & Rice. Jhett woke up that morning extra early & extra cranky. He had diarrhea super bad & ended up crashing on the couch as we were getting ready to leave for church. Austin & I decided we would let him sleep. I was going to show up after sacrament meeting to let the primary know he was sick & that I needed to be home with him the 3rd hour because go figure this was the week Austin had prepared a lesson for his class. Well as I was getting ready to leave my vision went. I could not see out of my left eye & my right eye was spotty. Austin told me I was not driving to church & he would go & let the primary know. Not but 10 minutes later my head started pounding so I put Tredd down for a nap & went & laid on the couch. Jhett finally woke up & must have sensed something was not right with me. I fell in & out of sleep for about 45 minutes. Then all of a sudden I was breathing really heavy & was extremely nauseous. My head was pounding so hard. I could hardly walk. I knew I was having one of my migraine headaches. I grabbed my phone & tried texting Austin that he needed to come home now. What is really interesting is my text was gibberish just like my speech gets when I get these headaches. Austin showed up just in time to witness me puke all over the place. So needless to say I spent the entire day & night in bed or over the toilet! I felt SO BAD that I couldn't do all I wanted to do for Jhett on his birthday. I guess he is still young enough he probably won't remember it.
