Secret to Tell

For Christmas this year to our family we gave this...

Here is a picture of our family
To hang on your wall for all to see

This picture however does not show all of us
Because Baby #2 is due in August!!!

The reactions were great. Lisa and Fred were the first of the parents to get it. They received their card the Monday before Christmas. Since they live in Utah, I wanted to make sure they got theirs in time for Christmas. They called me Monday evening and were so excited. Felicia & Olivia are hoping for a girl and Lisa said they are knitting pink & purple booties :) I thought that was cute.
Grandma & Grandpa Udall were the next one's to find out. We decided to visit them before dinner Christmas Eve so we didn't have to make the trip Christmas day. They were excited and quick to say this would be #19 or #20 of great-grandkids. Wow!
We told my mom and dad after dinner that night. My mom's reaction was fabulous and was actually just the reaction I was looking for.

You see, I had showed up to their house a few days earlier dropping off Jhett on my way to work and without thinking said I was feeling nauseous. So my mom was quick to ask "are you pregnant?" I quickly said "no! don't you think I would have told you?!" My white lie worked and she didn't ask me again. So she was completely shocked when she read that card. My dad's parents and siblings were also all over so everyone got to hear the news. Congratulations and hugs were well given.

Jori & Dwight found out Christmas morning. They too were surprised and excited. My mom's parents were the next to find out. We left Dwight & Jori's to head over to my mom's since my grandparents were going to be there. My grandma Wood's reaction was also great. She literally screamed with excitement jumping off the couch to give me a hug. Then when she sat down she said that was the best present and got teary-eyed. Then we drove to Grandpa Porter's house to pay him a visit. His card was sent in the mail too and he congratulated us as we walked through the door.

As hard as it was to keep that a secret, and I know it was only 2 1/2 weeks, but still, it was so worth it!! Everybody's reactions made the wait great!
