Baby of Mine

Finally the day arrived where I was going to meet my baby. I was so nervous and yet excited all at the same time. I had thoughts that maybe there were 2 in there, maybe I was further along. The reason I was having these thoughts is because I am showing already! I don't remember showing this soon! I also switched Doctors. With Jhett I delivered at Banner Desert. The hospital off the Dobson & the 60. Where we live now is just too far from that hospital.I knew I wanted to stick with a Banner Hospital and still at this point I am more comfortable with a female, so I was able to get an appointment with Dr. McNeal who delivers at Banner Gateway. The hospital at Higley & the 60. Much closer. Anyways, so I get to my appointment 20 minutes early. My appointment was at 2:10 PM. I didn't even get put into an exam room until 2:45 PM. So the first thing they did was weigh me. I weighed 150lbs. Unfortunately it is 10lbs heavier then I was with Jhett when I first got pregnant. Anywho, I share that weight just to keep record. So the nurse tells me to strip down. I am getting a full on physical exam. I did not prepare myself for that so that came as a bit of a shock. After the doctor checked my boobs for lumps and then did a pap smear, she brought out the vaginal ultrasound. This was the first time I ever had that done. It was a little bit uncomfortable. I found out I have only 1 baby and I am not further along. I didn't get an exact measurement with this ultrasound, but the doctor said that's what babies at 10 weeks look like. I didn't get to hear the heartbeat either but did see it pumping away.

Maybe I am not as huge as I feel but still, there is a bump. I have been feeling pretty good. Have only thrown up once(Christmas Eve) but have felt nauseous 24/7 all the way up until about a week and 1/2 ago. So I count my blessings. I crave spicy foods when I have cravings. I actually am not eating a whole lot. I haven't had much of an appetite lately. 5 more weeks until my next appointment & next baby bump picture.
