FRUSTRATED

Jhett is my firecracker & is ALWAYS bouncing off the walls. For the past week he has been sick with a cough & runny nose. This hasn't stopped him at all. He is potty-trained but I do put him in pull-ups at night because I need him to sleep. Well I have been really bad at giving him milk in a sippy cup at night. Lately I have been paying for that. He wakes up really early in the morning because he has peed himself & the bed! So yesterday I told him I am done with him peeing his bed with a diaper & it is time to stop but the only way to do it is to not have milk in bed anymore. Of course being the 2 year old he is he says "Ok". Last night bedtime came & went because I was downstairs doing dishes & what not. I look at the clock & its 9:30, this is way past Jhett's bedtime. So I tell him it is time for bed & all of a sudden Jhett becomes this MONSTER & is screaming & jumping "NO BED! NO BED! NO BED!" Holy Crap. Now I don't have any patience for tantrums coming from devil children. So I lost it. I was now screaming back at him. We battled until almost 10:30 about pjs, milk, juice, water, & bed. NOT FUN!

Tredd is my snuggle bug. He LOVES momma & prefers me over anybody else. It's cute but exhausting. He too has been a pistol lately. For bedtime & nap time ever since he was born I have wrapped him in one of those swaddle blankets. They are magical with their Velcro straps, babies can't kick themselves out. Or so I thought. Since 10:00 last night Tredd has been crying every 30 min. When I would go & check on him he managed to kick himself out of this swaddle so I re-wrap him, put his pacifier back in his mouth, then walk back to bed. This happened every 30 min. Finally at 1:45 AM I decided to just let him deal & cry it out. 2 hours later he wasn't giving in and by then Austin got up to go to work and went in there and re-wrapped him. Turd. This nonsense has moved into today. Tredd is not napping & won't stop crying!!! I am beside myself. This is NOT like him. He is usually HAPPY. Thank goodness I have my mom to vent to. She brought up a very good point that clearly has slipped my mind.(I am a little sleep deprived at the moment) Jhett has been sick, maybe Tredd is sick or getting sick. Take him to the doctor to rule out ear infection. That is exactly what I will do as soon as the kiddos wake up. I finally got Tredd to settle down 20 minutes ago!
