POTTY TRAIN-ing

Mr. Jhett is OBSESSED with Trains. So when I decided to say GOODBYE to diapers TRAINS were my mode of persuasion.

So I bought some "Choo Choo" underwear...

AND I printed out a picture of a Train & put it on the side of the fridge. I told Jhett everytime he went POOP or PEE in the toilet he would get a sticker. When the whole train was filled up we would take a trip to the mall & ride the train.

Jhett was game. He got 2 stickers right away.

Here he is on January 6th in his "Choo Choo" Shirt & "Choo Choo" underpants.

I would LOVE to tell you my child is absolutely perfect & had ZERO accidents. Well truth be told he was pretty dang close near perfection. That first day we had 4 accidents & that was it. These were accidents where he wasn't even trying to go the bathroom. He just stood on the tile & watched a puddle form. I do thank my lucky stars that he at least stood on the tile! By the next day he was running to toilet & every now & then there would be just a little pee in his pants. NO accidents with poop! Jhett is AMAZING!! If I had known potty training him would have been that easy I would have done it sooner!

In no time at all (2 weeks) the train was filled with stickers & we went to the mall & rode the train!
