August 3rd-7th I took matters into my own hands. I decided I was going to try to induce labor on my own. Austin of course had ZERO complaints about that. Let's just say he was getting lucky every night & sometimes during the day as well. I also walked ALOT! Almost everyday I would drive to some shopping center, put Jhett in the stroller, & walk & walk & walk. Let me just tell you not only did I feel exhausted by the end of those walks but I could feel my hands & feet swelling! I even went bowling for a girls night! Needless to say I was trying & I thought FOR SURE I was getting things going.
Sunday August 8th, 3:30 PM. I am ironing curtain panels & I have a contraction! 15 min later another, 15 min later another. You get the idea. Well they got closer together & more intense so Austin & I were like "THIS IS IT!!!" we loaded the car, drove Jhett to my moms, then headed to the hospital. On the way down the contractions started to slow down, they were coming between 15-30 min. After we arrived & I got hooked up to monitors the nurse came in & checked me. Dialated to a 1 & still 60% effaced. So the nurse said to walk around for an hour & see if I dialate anymore. If I do then they will admit me otherwise I will go home & continue laboring at home. Oh man I was determined. So Austin & I jumped up & started walking the halls of the hospital. I was literally power walking. Swinging my arms & walking really fast. Some of the nurses I would pass were like "You should save your energy" or "Wow, mom is on a mission" I will say the second comment was more the page I was on. In fact I was so determined I ended up cutting my feet up with the shoes I was wearing! So an hour passes by, I was feeling contractions the entire time, I lay back on the table, nurse checks me, STILL a 1 & 60% effaced!!! SERIOUSLY!!!! So they send me home. I had contractions the whole way home & through the night. There was no pattern though so I didn't go back.
Monday August 9th 2:30 PM, I am at my doctor appointment. I start with my weight. 172, Um excuse me but I LOST 4LBS?!?! I ask the nurse if that is normal, she says well maybe the baby has dropped or your fluids are low. Go into the exam room, get my blood pressure checked then get undressed. Dr comes in & we talk. I tell her about the hospital visit, loosing weight & all my frustrations. She listens to heartbeat (sounds Great), then checks me, still at a 1 but 75% effaced. She can tell I'm discouraged, especially because AGAIN I start telling her my concerns, she finally offers me induction. Man did I jump on that one fast. I told her I will take the next available time. She comes back in the room after calling the hospital & the time is set for 9:00 PM August 10th!! I am so excited. It is such a nice feeling to see a finish line and to FINALLY meet Tredd!!!
Ok after that really long story here are some pictures of what I have been up to this last couple of weeks.
39 WEEKS
We got a new camera!
As you can see I took a picture of it with our old camera, BLURRY!

Austin surprised me with a Sewing Machine!!

I can hardly wait to put Tredd in these little Tie Onsies!!!

I also bought material to make Curtains for my Family Room & Kitchen. Pictures to come of that when I am finished.

I have also done load after load of laundry, scrubbed my bathroom, downstairs bathroom, deep cleaned kitchen (cupboards, pantry, fridge, sink), organized Jhett & the nursery's closet. Austin has mopped the kitchen floor, vaccumed the stairs, & finished cleaning the ceiling fan in our room (I couldn't reach the top). All that is left on my list are the rest of the ceiling fans & blinds. But my mom has volunteered to do them :)
